VACANCY: Assistant Laboratory Technician with Growth Potential (m/f/x)

To strengthen our quality team, we are looking for an assistant laboratory technician with an interest in paint, color, and chemistry, and with growth opportunities to become a colorist.

Location: Havenlaan 8, 3980 Tessenderlo-Ham

Contract type: Full-time – Permanent contract

Position

As an assistant laboratory technician in our quality control department, you ensure that small production batches are carried out correctly and that every product leaving our factory meets our quality standards. You will work in a modern, well-equipped laboratory and be part of a close-knit team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Carrying out small paint production batches in the laboratory (preparing and packaging according to protocols – weights up to 25 kg)
  • Maintaining the small dosing unit
  • Performing quality checks on raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products
  • Recording and interpreting measurement results (viscosity, color, coverage, drying time, etc.)
  • Ensuring order, cleanliness, and proper use of laboratory equipment
  • Reporting deviations and collaborating with production and R&D
  • Assisting in improving test methods and procedures
  • Contributing to color formulations and color corrections together with our colorists
  • Opportunity to train as a colorist (color matching, pigment knowledge, and color theory)

Profile

  • Secondary education diploma in a scientific field (chemistry, laboratory sciences, etc.) or equivalent through experience
  • Experience in a laboratory environment is a plus, but motivated recent graduates are welcome
  • You work accurately and have attention to detail
  • Interest in color, paint, and chemical processes
  • Eager to learn and willing to be internally trained as a colorist
  • Team player with a practical mindset

Salary Transparency

VACANCY: Production Worker (m/f/x)

To strengthen our production team, we are looking for a motivated production worker who wants to contribute to our continued growth.

Location: Havenlaan 8, 3980 Tessenderlo-Ham

Company: PLP Coatings – Specialized in paint production

Contract type: Full-time – Permanent contract (39.5 hours per week)

Position

As a production worker, you play an important role in our production process. You help with mixing, filling, and packaging paint products. You ensure that production runs smoothly, machines are correctly set up, and the workplace remains safe and organized.

Your Responsibilities

  • Mixing raw materials according to established formulas
  • Setting up and operating filling machines
  • Checking product quality and specifications
  • Packaging and labeling finished products
  • Reporting technical issues or deviations
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Profile

  • Affinity with production, technology, or industrial processes
  • You work accurately and have an eye for quality
  • You are in good physical condition (regular lifting required)
  • You have a good command of the Dutch language
  • You are a team player but can also work independently
  • Experience in a production environment is a plus, but not required

VACANCY: Administrative Assistant (m/f/x)

To support our continued growth, we are looking for an administrative assistant who will support both the purchasing and sales departments.

Location: Havenlaan 8, 3980 Tessenderlo-Ham

Contract type: Full-time – Permanent contract

Position

As an administrative assistant, you are an important link between suppliers, customers, and internal colleagues.

Your responsibilities include:

Purchasing Support

  • Placing and following up on orders with suppliers
  • Checking order confirmations and delivery times
  • Administrative processing of purchase invoices
  • Monitoring stock levels in collaboration with the warehouse

Sales Support

  • Administrative processing of quotations and sales orders
  • Following up on deliveries and customer inquiries
  • Creating and maintaining customer data in the ERP system
  • Supporting the sales team with customer files

General Administration

  • Document management and reporting
  • Telephone and email communication with customers and suppliers
  • Assisting with logistics planning

Profile

  • You have a background in administration, office management, or accounting, or equivalent through experience
  • Experience in an administrative role is a plus
  • You work accurately and in a structured manner
  • You can easily switch between different tasks
  • You have a good command of Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems and MS Office is an asset
