VACANCY: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, DEVELOPMENT LAB

LOCATION: Tessenderlo, Belgium

About the position:

As a laboratory technician in our development lab, you’ll play a key role in supporting new product development and process improvements. You’ll work closely with laboratory technicians and researchers to perform analyses, interpret test results, and contribute to innovative solutions.

Your responsibilities:

  • Perform chemical or physical analyses according to established procedures.
  • Prepare, conduct, and monitor laboratory experiments for new product formulations or process optimizations.
  • Accurately record and report test results.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Actively contribute to method and process improvements.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in (bio)chemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical laboratory technology, or a similar field.
  • Experience in a development or analysis team is a plus.
  • You are accurate, organized, and have an eye for detail.
  • Strong team player with a hands-on mentality.
  • Knowledge of GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and basic statistics is a plus.
  • Good command of Dutch; knowledge of English is a plus.

VACANCY: LABORATORY ASSISTANT with career development opportunities

LOCATION: Tessenderlo, Belgium

What will you be doing?

As a Laboratory Assistant in our Quality Control department, you will ensure that small production runs are produced daily and that every product that leaves our factory meets our high quality standards. You will work in a modern, well-equipped laboratory and be part of a close-knit team.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out small paint production runs in the lab, such as preparing and packaging products according to specific protocols (weights up to 25 kg)
  • Maintaining a small dosing station
  • Performing quality control on raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished paint products
  • Ensuring order and cleanliness in the lab and the correct use of equipment
  • Recording and interpreting measurement results (viscosity, color, opacity, drying time, etc.)
  • Identifying deviations and collaborating with production and R&D for any necessary corrections
  • Supporting the improvement of test methods and procedures
  • Collaborating on color formulations and color corrections in collaboration with our colorists
  • Opportunities for colorist training, including color matching, pigment knowledge, and color theory

What do we expect from you?

  • You have a secondary school diploma in a scientific field (chemistry, laboratory, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a laboratory environment is a plus, but we are also open to motivated school leavers.
  • You work accurately, independently, and have an eye for detail.
  • You are interested in color, paint, and chemical processes.
  • You are eager to learn and are open to in-house training as a colorist.
  • You are a team player and practical.

VACANCY: PRODUCTION OPERATOR
LOCATION: Tessenderlo, Belgium

PLP Coatings is looking for a motivated Production Operator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in our paint production process, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency at every step.

What Will You Do?

As a production worker, you play an important role in our production process. You will help with mixing, filling, and packaging paint products. You ensure that production runs smoothly, machines are properly set up, and the workplace remains tidy.

Your tasks include, among others:

  • Mixing raw materials according to formulas
  • Setting up and operating filling machines
  • Checking product quality and specifications
  • Packaging and labeling finished products
  • Identifying and reporting malfunctions
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

VACANCY: ALL-ROUND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

PLPCOATINGS NL is a dynamic, fast-growing company in the paint products industry. We value personal service, innovation, and collaboration. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an all-round administrative professional who thrives on organizing, coordinating, and supporting others.

Your role
As an All-round Administrative Assistant, you will be the central point of our office operations. You’ll make sure everything runs smoothly and provide support across multiple departments. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing administration and keeping documentation and data accurate and up to date.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing communication (email/post).
  • Preparing and updating reports, presentations, and other documents.
  • Coordinating schedules, agendas, and appointments.
  • Maintaining contact with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
  • Preparing and taking minutes of meetings.
  • Tackling various ad-hoc tasks—spotting what needs to be done and taking initiative.

About you

  • You have at least an MBO diploma in administration (or comparable experience).
  • You communicate clearly and professionally in Dutch.
  • You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to keep an overview.
  • You can work independently and set priorities, even under pressure.
  • You are proactive and solution-oriented.
